Fluffy Cat

Wednesday, May 28th, 2008

Newly inspired yet again, I finished spinning some purple-blue stuff I got way back when. I was so pleased! Then as I was organizing my lamentably chaotic closet, I found another 4 oz. of the stuff today. Sigh. But, it is an awesome color…even Sara agrees. (I had to fight her off of the fluff, let me remind you of the first part that I spun that she just adored.)

Fluff ‘N Stuff

Friday, July 27th, 2007

So I finally used my spinning wheel after lending it to my sis for a while. She gave it back a long, long time ago, but I haven’t been using is due to laziness and moving factor. But I was so pleased with the way this one ply Blue Face Leicester fluff came out that I have to show it. The color was “Deep Sea.” This is mostly a pic post, so bear with me.

Also, I recently purchased more jewelry tools that gives me the power to solder! Scary, but true. I was able to make this 34″ sterling silver chain with shell beads with it. Super fun! It’s hard to see in the pic, but the coating on the shell beads give it a cool fuschia, teal, red, navy iridescent thing.

It’s been a fun and creative week for me.

Apparently, my cat wanted to play while I was playing amateur photographer. She is adorable!

Sara Plays

Saturday, April 21st, 2007

I really am not a cat nut, I swear. I have a dog, Tinker, who is awesome too. But the dog doesn’t do much. He’s a sleeper mostly. But the cat, Sara, is so young and energetic, so I have a lot of fun documenting her activities.

Into the Ocean

I have already mentioned that I love playing with my new iMac, and now here is a little movie that I put together to see how iMovie works. The video is from Disney World, where we saw all the little fishies play. You will need sound for this. Okay, need is a rather strong word, but there is sound, so it would behoove you to turn on the speakers if they aren’t already on.

Russian Amazonite

Tuesday, April 17th, 2007

Just recently, a friend showed me a great new store where I can purchase genuine stone beads. Up until that point, I generally preferred using Swarovski crystal only. However, now I can play with genuine beads and crystal. The best part of all is that I can make jewelry to match any outfit if I have the time. This necklace is Russian Amazonite and clear Swarovski crystals.

And on a completely unrelated note, look at what my cat is doing!

Sleepy Sara

She will sleep anywhere as long as it is near a human. It’s so cute and a little strange at the same time.
