Sara Plays

Saturday, April 21st, 2007

I really am not a cat nut, I swear. I have a dog, Tinker, who is awesome too. But the dog doesn’t do much. He’s a sleeper mostly. But the cat, Sara, is so young and energetic, so I have a lot of fun documenting her activities.

Into the Ocean

I have already mentioned that I love playing with my new iMac, and now here is a little movie that I put together to see how iMovie works. The video is from Disney World, where we saw all the little fishies play. You will need sound for this. Okay, need is a rather strong word, but there is sound, so it would behoove you to turn on the speakers if they aren’t already on.

Russian Amazonite

Just recently, a friend showed me a great new store where I can purchase genuine stone beads. Up until that point, I generally preferred using Swarovski crystal only. However, now I can play with genuine beads and crystal. The best part of all is that I can make jewelry to match any outfit if I have the time. This necklace is Russian Amazonite and clear Swarovski crystals.

And on a completely unrelated note, look at what my cat is doing!

Sleepy Sara

She will sleep anywhere as long as it is near a human. It’s so cute and a little strange at the same time.

Family Tree

A while back, I made a gift for my mom for Mother’s Day. I realized that I never posted it to the website, so hey, why not now? The thing that I love about this tree is that I can add as many ‘branches’ as needed without too much trouble. Plus, it just fits my love of shiny things.

Happy Pascha!

Thursday, April 12th, 2007

For this year’s Pascha, I made a cute little keychain for people. It is a simple design, I grant you, but since I had to make 15 of them, I figured that simple was the way to go. I have to tell you that I love to make gifts for people! Mostly this is because I love to make stuff, but I can’t keep all of it since it would be much too much clutter. This way I get to make it, and somebody else takes the clutter. I am so kind, I know. I think I should mention that it was a keychain for choir people who sing for the church. Hence the music note and the cross.

Here we go again!

I have to be one of the worst bloggers out there. I never really post and I don’t usually write much. However, my sis has started me on a new system to blog that should make it even easier for the lazy blogger, me, to update to the site. We shall see if it works!

Not to mention, I did just get a new iMac, and that is altogether the coolest toy ever. I do want to play on my new computer all the time. That might help.
