Fuzzies!

Thursday, May 24th, 2007

You never know what might happen if you decide to knit up left over yarn into a rectangle. Boring, yes, but ultimately cute. I had some pink stuff left over from a scarf I had knitted for a friend that just needed to be used up. So as i was sitting one night specifically not unpacking like I should have been, I started knitting the pink fuzzy that you see below. I decided that it is my cat’s rug since she just loves to eat my yarn. Now she can lay on this mini-rug.

It is even more appropriate since she sat on my lap trying to eat the yarn most of the time that I was knitting it.

Rule of Thumb II

Friday, May 18th, 2007

So I just checked out my Sister’s site and saw her cool little Finger test answer. Turns out that I got the same answer as her. Go figure. Family of loner leaders, I guess. :)

You Are the Thumb

You’re unique and flexible. And you defy any category.
Mentally strong and agile, you do things your own way. And you do them well.
You are a natural leader… but also truly a loner. You inspire many but connect with few.
You get along well with: The Middle Finger
Stay away from: The Pinky

It’s so not timely…

Sunday, May 13th, 2007

Yup, this post is not timely at all because I am showing some sculpey figurines that I made during the winter. I should have posted them then, but I was too distracted to do it. I had posted some pictures on a test site, but that one is not for public viewing, so I figure it’s okay to repeat the subject matter. Plus, I can’t find my camera-to-computer cable just yet, so I have no new pictures to post right now. Oops.

Snowboys

The fun thing about these figurines is that I came up with new techniques for hair. No, not new for anyone else, but for me, it was a first. So were the bows. Up until these snowpeople, I hadn’t created any of my own pieces as I was still copying the book ones to learn techniques and stuff.
